About Valley View

Valley View Middle School is one of two middle schools within the nationally recognized Edina Public Schools district.

VVMS offers an enthusiastic and challenging learning experience with a focus on exploratory learning and team teaching structures. In addition to rigorous core academics, there is a wide variety of content area exploratories and opportunity for student choice. Valley View teachers collaborate to foster deep knowledge of their students.

Recent building enhancements have created flexible learning spaces where we offer students creative and innovative opportunities to learn core standards, as well as to grow personally in understanding themselves and how they learn best. Students have an Advisory where the focus is social and emotional learning, as well as building a connection with an adult in the building. Supporting the whole child is integral for each student to grow and thrive during this transitional age. Edina middle schools offer a variety of student activities, including robotics, theater, sports and after school programming.
